Question 3. How our identities are shaped, at least in part, by various narratives, some of which we have more control of than others–personal histories; race and gender ideologies; etc?
Question 4. what happens when our stories collide with the stories of others, when we encounter (watch others encounter) particularly strong-willed tellers who we may come to realize have an agenda about which we are not sure how to feel. Remembering to stay focused on textual specifics and not on abstractions, how would you characterize the teller/speaker in one of the texts for this week? How does that characterization affect how you understand their story?
