You will solve the following problem by hand and using ABAQUS. The following structure is a 1D structure. The total length of the structure is 10 m. The structure is constrained at the left end and an axial force of 50 N is applied to the right end. Find the reaction forces and displacements at each node. Find the stress distribution in the bar. Assume the same k and A along the structure (k-2×109 N/m and E 200 GPa and v-0.3 for steel) a) Try 1, 2 and 3 elements.
