I. Content Review:
Please develop responses for the following questions based on your experience of the course: (a) What is your own definition of Spirituality and how does it compare to those covered on the elective? Please provide examples of what might best fit your definition. (b) Provide your three most important insights or concepts discussed in the course. Describe each of your insights with specific references from the course material. (c) How would you describe you position on the mind and body question?

II. Creative Application:
(a) Select a popular “romantic” story from a film, TV programme, novel or play and summarise the story line. Next, describe the model of intimacy depicted and indicate how it relates to the course discussion of intimacy. Critique this model based on both your professional and personal experience and the insight gained from the course. (b) Why do you suppose that human beings might struggle with something so basic and seemingly necessary for a good life? What best describes your views on intimacy? (c) Describe an imagined client disclosure that might represent a difficult and challenging situation where your own personal values might feel dismissed or your sense of social tolerance might feel violated. What lessons from the course might be useful to call upon? Please be reasonably specific as to what the “issue”
would be. And why it would be difficult for you? How would you “feel”? What “thoughts” might enter your head? How might this get in the way of developing a therapeutic relationship? How might you seek to shift the challenge into an opportunity for understanding and mutual respect?
